BLOND:ISH is an internationally respected DJ and eco-activist.
BLOND:ISH is releasing new single “Call My Name” via FFRR/Major Recordings, a track packed with inescapable rhythm and smiles, blending the summer-soaked rules of Disco all guaranteed to fill the dance floor.
Following on from afro-house track “Tra Tra” with Hugel & Nfasis earlier in the year which racked up almost 10 Million streams and held Beatport’s coveted #1 position for 2 weeks, in addition to garnering support from the likes of Diplo, Chris Lake, Danny Howard, Nic Fanciulli, Arielle Free and John Summit, “Call My Name” draws heavily from a 90s dance era with funky basslines and lively percussion.
To Vivie-ann, being BLOND:ISH is about more than being a DJ. It’s all about energy and taking her fans to ‘Happy Happy World’, a road paved with music, wellness, eco-activism, and tech – all with a healthy dose of magic.
“Call My Name” represents disco house at its most triumphant and from the get-go a soundtrack of the vigour and musical confidence that has now become synonymous with BLOND:ISH. The new single follows on from BLOND:ISH’s recent collaborative release of Madonna’s chart-topping single “Sorry” that saw the prowess of two female musical powerhouses join forces with an enthralling, slow-burning vocal house production.
A highly entertaining DJ, prolific producer, record label head, environmental activist and Web3 entrepreneur, BLOND:ISH breaks down traditional barriers between artist and fan, uniting her community through pillars of purpose. Alongside H.E.R, PinkPantheress and WondaGurl, she spearheaded Bose’s new “Turn the Dial” campaign, which seeks to create new opportunities for women and non-binary producers in the music industry.
On the touring front, BLOND:ISH has brought her own event series ABRACADABRA globally to Paris, London, New York and a branded residency at Alemagou in Mykonos this year. On the horizon, BLOND:ISH is taking ABRACADABRA to Los Angeles, Egypt and Miami. BLOND:ISH is dedicated to loving all and creating inclusive atmospheres that take people to Happy Happy World.
Interweaved with upcoming shows for Elrow Festival in Madrid, regular appearances at DC10 in Ibiza she kick starts her summer festival season with infectious warmth and the carefree spirit of Disco in “Call My Name.” A bottomless brunch of indulgent dancefloor energy.
