Fernando Lagreca helps us celebrate National Productivity Day

12th of February is National Productivity Day, so we asked aspiring producer Fernando Lagreca to give us his tips on maintaining productivity.

CU: Do you ever get writer’s block when it comes to making music or being creative, and what are your tips when struggling to find inspiration?

Fernando Lagreca: “Well, I honestly believe this happens to all artists at some point in their creative and artistic careers. Right now I do not have any kind of tips to avoid it but when the block comes I simply quit the project and look for a better moment to re-open and continue working on it. Sometimes playing a synth in a random way becomes in a more creative way to find new options for a track, moving knobs, testing new beats and recording sequences on the fly can be a good
approaching to find that key element you thought you lost while composing in a more orderly fashion, then chaos becomes a bit of order and why not to try vice-versa from time to time, giving a twist of organic mood to a super quantized arrangement.”
