Robbie Akbal lands on Canadian record label, Suleiman, to drop a delightful organic house release called, Osenchi.

The release has a solo original from Robbie, and the title cut is a three-way collaboration with, re os – REO MATSUMOTO, and Mamazu. Also appearing is Dachshund, who completes the package with a deep house remix of the title track.

Suleiman is a record label that normally focuses on deep tech and minimal, but covers a wide spectrum of styles, and Robbie Akbal showcases the organic style he has made a trademark.

Hailing from Mexico, Robbie Akbal’s music has deep atmosphere and invigorating percussion that is accompanied by enchanting synths and live instruments. Much of his music comes via his own record label, Akbal Music, but he has also released on others ranging from Get Physical to Crosstown Rebels.

re os – REO MATSUMOTO and Mamazu are solo artists that regularly work together, and they are collaborating with Robbie for the first time. They have a style very similar to Robbie’s, and “Osenchi” is a mesmerising track built on a melodic groove with stripped back percussion and a trippy synthesised flute sound.

Dachshund is an accomplished Swiss artist with music on labels such as Poker Flat, Bar 25 and Rebellion. He delivers a stunning reinterpretation of “Osenchi” that focuses on the original’s melodic elements, and removes the organic percussion to give the track a streamlined flow with only sequenced drums.

“Everything is Energy” is the solo original by Robbie, and it’s got trippy vocals and sparkling synths stretched over organic drums and a modulating bassline.
