What’s In Your Box: PHCK

With PHCK having new music out now on Manual Music we take a look at their favourite tracks of the moment in the latest edition of What’s In Your Box?

1. Michael Mayer & Joe Goddard – For You (DJ Koze Club Mix) [K7 Records]

DJ Koze is like the grand remix master and we’re big fans of his remixes like “Bad Kingdom” by Moderat and Matthew Herberts “It’s Only”. This remix is another proof that he is the best in what he is doing. DJ Koze has the ability to make a great track even more better by adding his own personal touch.

2. Of Norway – Parallel Lines meet at Infinity (Original Mix) [Connaisseur Recordings]

We were very happy when we heard about the album announcement from Of Norway on Connaisseur Recordings. The first two tracks fascinated us from the beginning and we’re especially looking forward to the final album release.

3. Olderic, Lehar – Il Sole (Original Mix) [Siamese]

The first EP of Adriatique’s label Siamese dropped in October last year and we really liked the release. The third release is a great V.A. EP. Olderic & Lehars “Il Sole” shows the great talent of the Italian artists once again.

4. Oxia – Domino (Matador Remix) [Sapiens]

Domino is an absolute classic and we’re still dropping this track at our gigs. We were therefore particularly happy to see the track is been re-released on Agoria’s label Sapiens. We like the whole EP but Matadors remix is outstanding.

5. Human Machine – Elena (Original Mix) [Engrave Ltd.]

Human Machine is the union of Musumeci, Sisio, Simeone and Pavi. Their track “146” caught our attention directly on the release date on Connaisseur Recordings. Now they have “Elena” on Musumeci and Dodi Palese’s label Engrave Ltd. which is just great alongside great other tracks.

6. Modulo – Awake Dream (PHCK Remix) [nie wieder schlafen]

When we were asked to make a remix for the first release of our family members of “nie wieder schlafen” we could not say more than YES. It’s a multisided release with great remixers and originals and we’re very proud to take part of it.

7. Masaya (CH) – The Backstage [Chapter 24 Records]

Masaya’s album “Picking Up The Pieces” is a enrichment for our musical library. We picked “The Backstage” which was premiered by “When We Dip” because we liked the retro sounds. The whole album is definitely worth listening.

8. MUUI – Seminal (Original Mix) [microCastle]

MUUI’s releases are always very special and we love his style. Seminal shows atmospheric and emotional synths and leaves a lot of space for interpretation. He shows his ability to implement driving elements in a track with deep vibes. We’re excited what’s coming up next.

9. Moby – Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad (Oxia Dub Mix) [Suara]

“Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad” by Moby was released in 1999 and is until today one of Moby’s greatest hits. Oxia’s interpretation took the original feeling and gave it his personal touch which created this incredible successful remix.

10. Rauschhaus, PHCK – Ozon (Original Mix) [Manual Music]

We got to know Rauschhaus over “Bullfinch” when he made an awesome remix of our track “Spiramentum”. We loved his music and got in contact with him. This generated soon our collab tracks “Ozon” and “Neptun” which will be released with two originals each on Manual Music.

PHCK’s collaborative EP with Rauschhaus is out now on Manual Music, you can purchase the release: here
