Victor Ruiz is famed for the techno he has released on labels such as Drumcode plus Noir Music, and is a talented DJ booked to headline clubs all over the world.

Having first-hand experience of some of the worlds best sound systems, we asked Victor Ruiz to tell us his personal opinion on which club has the best? 

Victor Ruiz: There are many clubs all over the world with amazing sound systems that I have been lucky enough to play at. But there is one, which remains maybe as the most memorable and best that I have yet experienced, it can be found at The Block in Tel Aviv, Israel. This was really the first sound system that blew my mind in a club. Now for the details – I found out it’s a custom made analogue system which was designed by the clubs owner, Yaron Trax and inspired by the system of the old New York City clubs of the 70’s and 80’s. The black speakers are so perfectly aligned they make you dive into the perfect sonic experience, as both a dancer and a DJ. To have a sound which is both truly amazing for everyone in the club, whether in the booth or at the back of the room is hard, but it’s been achieved here. I am so excited to get back to this club, most likely in 2020!
