The Prodigy Reveal First Glimpse Of Forthcoming New Music

Revealing a 15-second clip on Instagram, this is the first publicly available audio since the death of former frontman Keith Flint.

The Prodigy have revealed a 15-second clip on their Instagram account which teases the band’s new music.

This clip is the first bit of new music the band has made public since the death of their former frontman Keith Flint who died in 2019.

Remaining band members Maxim and Liam Howlett have reunited to work on new music in the Prodigy’s classic style which fuses heavy breakbeats with rock guitars and distorted textures.

Back in September of 2020, the band made a social media statement saying “Studio bizniz this month, back on the beats,” and they promised to start making music again after Flint’s death.

Yesterday’s Instagram post sharing the 15-second clip was accompanied by a caption reading: “New Prodigy studio session beats are rollin”.

The clip also has 2D plastic figures of the two remaining band members who are positioned in front of the speaker that are vibrating to the groove of the teased audio loop.

Keith Flint was only 49 when he passed away, and in August 2019 the guys shared a picture on Facebook of Liam Howlett in the studio stating “back in the studio making noise. Brand new Prodigy tunes are gonna roll,” and this is the first time we have caught a glimpse of what’s coming.

‘No Tourists’ out in 2018 was their last official release, and there is much anticipation for their forthcoming new material.
