Soma Skool will be running workshops and seminars on the 3rd of September.

Soma Skool is Soma Record’s annual electronic music conference and showcase event, and it’s revealed the full line-up for its 2022 edition running in September.

After three years without an in-person event, this year’s conference features an impressive roster of artists, from the most exciting emerging local acts to international heavyweights, along with a whole host of industry professionals from across the electronic music scene.

Returning to Glasgow’s SWG3 warehouse complex, Soma Skool is a full day of discussions, demos, workshops and masterclasses. The main artist panel will see Berlin-based producer and one of Europe’s most in demand DJs Hector Oaks, join Glasgow’s own champions of techno and Soma Records head honchos Slam to discuss what catalysed their success as artists.

Focusing on the city’s thriving music scene, the Underground Glasgow panel, hosted by The Skinny’s Nadia Younes, features some of the country’s most formidable talents. One of the most hotly-tipped artists to emerge from Scotland in the last few years, Tahliah Simumba – aka TAAHLIAH – will join this year’s inaugural BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year Award winner Bemz, Sub Club resident Butho The Warrior and Glasgow based Iranian DJ and producer Farnaz.

Hosted by disability activist Katouche Goll, the Accessible Clubbing panel features DJ and radio presenter Def Beatz; DJ, producer and stalwart of Ireland’s underground scene DefeKT; disability led charity Attitude Is Everything and Leeds-based selector, sound artist and access activist SAYANG.
