‘S O S’ Is A Techno Compilation Donating Proceeds To Support COVID-19 Relief In India

Released by Arjun Vagale’s label Asymetrik, the 14 tracks are from artists with links to the country’s electronic music scene.

Asymetrik is an Indian label putting out a techno compilation to fundraise for the country’s COVID-19 relief efforts.

Currently, India is one of the countries hit hardest by the pandemic, sometimes reporting more than 3,000 deaths in a day. Right now, it’s in the middle of a second wave of the virus, and there is a shortage of oxygen tanks, ventilators and beds.

Last week, it’s reported that there were over 17 million cases of COVID-19 in India, and that figure is still incredibly high.

‘S O S’ is the name of the fundraising techno compilation, which has been compiled by Indian artist Arjun Vagale. It features 14 tracks from artists who have links to the Indian electronic music scene.

Arjun Vagale gave this statement about the release: “The idea was to put this project out as soon as possible so we can start generating funds immediately. We need to help NOW! I want to thank all the artists who stepped up and contributed – we literally put this together in a couple of days – none of this would be possible without your art.

Hemkunt Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organisation doing on-ground COVID-19 relief work, and they are helping to supply oxygen to patients that are critically ill.

All the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Hemkunt Foundation, and you can buy the compilation HERE
