‘RESISTANCE’ Announces Miami Music Week Events With Carl Cox, Adam Beyer & More…

They are running parties between Thursdays March 23rd and Sunday March 26th.

ULTRA Worldwide’s esteemed underground concept RESISTANCE is heralded as the most international house and techno events brand, boasting active productions on all six inhabited continents.  RESISTANCE has evolved into a global powerhouse of underground curation since its inception in 2015, from programming stages at Ultra events in 35 cities internationally to organizing tours across Latin America and Asia.

In 2017, RESISTANCE debuted its first-ever residency in Ibiza at the world’s largest nightclub Privilege and has since welcomed house and techno heavyweights from around the world. The following year, RESISTANCE Ibiza was awarded the coveted title of ‘Best Ibiza Night 2018’ by DJ Awards in its sophomore season.

Following three banner years in Ibiza, Ultra will launch RESISTANCE’s inaugural U.S. club residency in the festival’s beloved hometown of Miami Beach. RESISTANCE Miami will transport the fully-immersive Ibiza clubbing experience to America for the very first time at M2, the newly-minted nightclub in the heart of the Art Deco District.

RESISTANCE Miami’s debut residency will kick off on Thursday, March 23 with Adam Beyer’s Drumcode takeover. Founded in 1996, Drumcode has evolved into one of the most recognized techno labels in the world with Adam Beyer at the forefront. Recruiting global techno tastemakers, RESISTANCE Miami’s debut event will welcome Ilario Alicante, Melanie Ribbe, and a special back-to-back performance from HI-LO and Layton Giordani in the Main Room. Bart Skills and Charles D will also deliver their signature techno sounds in M2’s the Chamber.

The following evening on Friday, March 24, RESISTANCE Miami will host British underground legends Sasha and John Digweed for the duo’s exclusive Miami Music Week performance. The dance music titans have spent the last 30 years at the forefront of progressive soundscapes globally, and have remained staple headliners at RESISTANCE’s Ibiza residency and various worldwide events since 2015. The pair will be joined by fellow headliner and Dutch legend Joris Voorn, as well as support acts Fideles and Brina Knaussin the Main Room at M2. The Chamber will feature scintillating sets from Popof x Space 92 present Turbulences, the Miami debut ofMassano, and Chris Avantgarde.

On Saturday, March 25, Belgian superstar and DJ Mag #1 Alternative DJ Charlotte de Witte will headline M2 with her unrelenting brand of techno. The RESISTANCE Miami roster for the evening will also include Indira Pagnatto, Hiroko Yamamura, Henry Brooksin the Main Room, while Rafa Barrios, Franky Wah, andCarlo Lio x Nathan Baratoas Roaches captivate fans in the Chamber. Delivering a diverse range of underground acts with Charlotte de Witte at the helm, this event is sure to be a fan-favourite across all Miami Music Week programming.

To round out the weekend, long-standing RESISTANCE global ambassador Carl Cox will headline the Official Miami Music Week Closing Party on Sunday, March 26. The dance music pioneer promises to serve up his signature party-starting sonics, crisscrossing the underground sphere with adventurous and forward-thinking cuts.  Cox will be joined by Enrico Sangiuliano, Anfisa Letyago, Julia Govor in M2’s Main Room. The Chamber will host underground legends Solardo and Bontan, as well as a live performance from Guti.

To commemorate the momentous occasion for the RESISTANCE brand, the Miami Music Week events will feature the state-of-the-art Funktion-One sound system. Masterminded by professional audio pioneer Tony Andrews, Funktion-One is considered the world’s premier sound system for large-scale events that demand clarity, detail and impact throughout the entire frequency range. The unique loudspeaker design focuses on carefully engineered speakers that naturally perform at the highest level without the use of corrective EQ to maximize sonic resolution. Creating an unrivalled sound experience, RESISTANCE Miami will launch the residency with some of the finest audio equipment the world has to offer.

Miami Music Week is only the beginning of the RESISTANCE Miami Residency. The programming will continue with various Race Week events from Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7, 2023. Then in the fall, RESISTANCE will launch weekly Saturday parties at M2, kicking off Halloween weekend on Saturday, October 28 and running through the Closing Party on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
