RawW is a new artist that recently dropped a debut release on a label called District 47.

There isn’t a lot of background info available for the artist, but the music really stands out from the crowd. Its techy groove has a stripped back sound design with deep atmosphere that’s reminiscent of other artists such as Reset Robot.

The first release is a solo track appropriately titled “The Beginning” as it’s a very bold introduction to RawW as an artist. It has a stabbing synth and a dubby aesthetic that swells with intensity as the track progresses, and the muffled vocal sample adds to its mysterious captivation. Being mid-tempo also gives it some crossover appeal for fans of house music, but most would probably describe it as deep techno.

We are told that DJs showing their support include the likes of Darren Emerson, Öona Dahl, Anja Schneider and Mr. C.
