Rameff releases new “Kasbah Fever” EP via Sol Selects

The three-track organic house EP is out now.

Rameff makes a triumphant return to Sol Selectas with an EP that infuses indie dance and organic house.

Returning to Sol Selectas with his first solo release, Rameff had already debuted on the imprint when he featured on a compilation. Kasbah Fever includes three of his original tracks, and it’s his first solo EP on the record label.

Sol Selectas is a record label run by Sabo, and it’s a leading imprint within the organic house scene. Rameff has also worked with other influential record labels ranging from Moblack Records to Cosmic Awakenings.

Before applying his talents to organic house, Rameff had a background as a percussionist and classically trained piano player. This shines through in his music, which often embraces live instruments.

The first two tracks utilise Middle-Eastern flute instruments, and a mix of vocals, some of the vocals are rhythmic textures, while others are lyrics adding to the vibe of the track.

“Kasbah Fever” has a disco-inspired groove with a chugging bass guitar and powerful claps. “Luxor Madness” has growing intensity, with funky guitar licks and a throbbing synth bass delivering a rolling groove.

Closing the release, “Goddess of Euphoria” is an epic track playing classic Middle-Eastern chords on modern synthesisers, and combines them with traditional Arabic vocals. It’s a joyous track that merges traditional folk law with modern culture.
