Portugal’s Lisbon Will Host A Music & NFT Festival Called ‘Rare Effect’

The in-person event will be the first of its kind in Europe and take place at Arroz Estudios on the 12th of May.

This May, Portugal’s capital city Lisbon will host Europe’s first in-person NFT Festival.

Art Progression Now will curate the event called ‘Rare Effect Vol.2’ which will run for ten days starting on the 12th of May. The event will run in the city’s Arroz Estudios venue located in the port district of Lisbon.

There will a digital art exhibition, live music performances, 2D and 3D digital displays, virtual reality exhibits and performance art.

Mim Suleiman, Mosca, Lakuti, Violet and Photonz are some of the musical acts scheduled to perform.

Rare Effect’s aim is to “provide an educational experience to the public regarding cryptocurrency and decentralized technology. Visitors will be provided with a digital wallet containing an exhibition cryptocurrency to interact with the art on display.”

Proceeds from any NFT sale of digital artworks being displayed will support the exhibited artists. Some of the artists showing off their work include Gene Kogan, burst_, Technological Hippie and Sean Mick.

The first edition of Rare Effect took place online in February 2020, and parts of the upcoming event will also be virtual.
