Nau Squaglia Drops New Album ‘Midnight Blues’

The ten track organic house release it out on the 8th of April via Earthly Delights

Nau Squaglia drops a debut album on Earthly Delights, which is deep and atmospheric organic house at its very best.

The Spanish artist has started to become a regular feature on Earthly Delights, and the album is his 3rd release for the record label. Those already familiar with his music might also have heard his releases on Be Adult Music and Mumbai Records.

Despite being a relatively new artist who only made his debut official release in 2020, Nau Squaglia’s album shows a high level of production that’s rare to hear from an emerging talent.

Titled ‘Midnight Blues’ the album features a total of 10 tracks, and finishes with the title cut. There isn’t a lot of diversity in terms of the music styles, but instead he shows a mastery of how to change the mood and energy while working within a single genre.

“Stick to My Guns” is the EP’s opening track, and it sets the scene with its soothing textures and gliding pads. All of the tracks follow a similar formula with subtle changes and an intricate use of melody to gradually lift the mood. Each track gives just enough to keep the listener’s attention without any sudden dramatic changes that would break its captivating spell.

It’s one of those albums that seems to stop time and space, in the sense that there isn’t a defining moment, but to listen from start to finish felt like it was only a few seconds, as it’s got such a lovely vibe and fine-tuned attention to detail.

All the tracks would also fit seamlessly into a DJ set, as their crisp percussion held enough energy to enchant a dance floor, and the synths are wonderfully uplifting or poignant.
