Moogli & Kuriose Naturale Collaborate On New EP ‘I Want To Be A Tree’

The three-track release is out now on the URSL record label.

Moogli and Kuriose Naturale team up for a collaboration on an exquisite melodic house release on the URSL record label.

This is the first time these artists have worked together and all three tracks on the release are a dance floor focused with deep atmosphere and intricate melodies.

Moogli is an up-and-coming talent who has spent many years building a strong connection to her local club scene in Berlin. She dropped her first ever release in 2019, which was a collaboration with Jan Mir. That debut was on URSL and she now makes a much anticipated return, this time working with the guys from Kuriose Naturale.

Kuriose Naturale are a German duo based in Berlin and they have previously featured their track and remixes on noteworthy record labels ranging from Stil Vor Talent to Katermukke. They are also popular DJs who play at festivals and prestigious club events across Germany.

There is also a remix from Holland’s Franca who’s a URSL regular, in addition to working with other prestigious imprints such as Get Physical.

“I Want To Be A Tree” is the EP’s opening track and it blends trippy atmospherics with breezy pads and a haunting vocal sample that adds to the atmosphere. Its delicate melody textures and extended breakdown build spine-tingling suspense while the crisp percussion holds the groove.

“Batmanhusten” opens with an epic intro before the percussion takes hold and it takes flight on the wings of its gliding synth lines that soar high above the clouds. It majestically unfolds with precision and attention to detail.

Franca closes the release with an impressive remix of I Want To Be A Tree that thickens the melody synth and shortens the breakdown to create a streamlined version, which is perfect for the dance floor while also staying true to the original.
