Monolake & Electric Indigo Are Playing Australia This Weekend

They are in Melbourne on Thursday March 23rd and Sydney on Friday March 24th.

Monolake and Electric Indigo are two European techno artists that are playing in Melbourne on the 23rd of March and Sydney on the 24th of March.

The event in Melbourne takes place at Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre with doors opening at 7:30pm and the event finishing at 10pm. So, there is still time plenty of time to get home and have enough sleep for those who have to work on Friday.

Travelling to Sydney, the guys are playing at City Recital Hall on Friday with doors opening at 8pm and the event finishing at 11:30pm.

German techno artist Monolake is playing two gigs in Australia over the coming days. He is a forward-thinking electronic music artist who is well-known for his role in helping develop the Ableton live software that today is the industry standard for many electronic music producers.

Monolake has been releasing music since the ’90s and during that time he has built up an impressive back catalogue including releases on iconic record labels such as K7 Records, 50 Weapons and his own imprint, Imbalance Computer Music.

Formally a duo, but now the solo project of Robert Henke, Monolake’s style is a deep and immersive blend of machine-driven techno and ambience.

Electric Indigo is an Austrian artist who has close links to the scene in Berlin after living in the German capital for many years. She has a slamming style of raw techno with industrial elements, hypnotic grooves and funky undertones. She is a pioneering female artist who founded female:pressure which is an international database for female and non-binary artists working in electronic music. Along with travelling the world as a headline DJ, Electric Indigo has also released tracks on labels such as Ostgut Ton.

Both events promise to be an unforgettable night of underground techno and electronic music with deep vibes and lots of atmosphere.
