‘Melbourne Techno Collective’ Are Celebrating 20 Years Of Events

They will be hosting five parties through 2022, the first of which is at New Guernica on the 25th of February.

Melbourne Techno Collective have been running events since 2002.

Doing exactly what it says on the tin, Melbourne Techno Collective are a group of Melbourne based techno enthusiasts. Founded by five friends Sam, Jay, Peter, Craig and Matt, their main focus is giving exposure to homegrown talent.

They have also booked the occasional international DJ so to also give Melbourne exposure to those shaping the global techno scene. Some of those bookings have included the likes of Steve Rachmad, Deetron, Shifted, Sigha, John Selway, Mike Humphries, Technasia, Detroit Techno Militia and Echoplex.

Having earned a reputation as one of Australia’s leading events for uncompromising underground techno, the guys will be marking their 20th anniversary with five events spread across 2022.

The first of those events is on the 25th of February at the New Guernica club which recently moved location to 64 Smith St, Collingwood.

True to the main part of their manifesto, the event is an all-local line-up including DJ sets from DJ Kiti, Fergus Sweetland, D-Rex, NUR, büro, Death of Socrates, Jay Reading, Peter Baker, Craig McWhinney and Matt Radovich.

Tickets are just $10 each and doors are open from 9 PM until 4 AM, you can find tickets HERE
