Flow Sessions 090 – Maxim Lany by Flow Music

Maxim Lany is a Belgian artist who has been making waves these last few years within the global electronic music scene.

His distinctive take on melodic house/techno blends influences from other genres such as deep house and he has also collaborated on techno tracks with Drumcode’s Ramon Tapia.

He is best known for his chunky basslines and techy percussion which he layers under melodic synth progressions with uplifting energy. Maxim Lany’s music can be found on the likes of Claude VonStroke’s Dirtybird, Kittball and Armada Deep, but he is also a talented DJ who performs regularly at events across Europe and further afield.

His set for flow sessions is a deep and moody mix with stripped-back atmosphere and a steady build of energy as the synths start to take hold. A masterful selection that has captivating suspense and smouldering intensity, it’s a mix that radiates warmth and transcends genres.

Words from the artist: “As a DJ and a producer I always try to be authentic and to reflect what I feel. Being able to record a 3-hour and 33-minute set for a well-respected platform like Flow is an opportunity I did not want to miss. I plunged myself into the deep and more obscure tracks in comparison to the stuff I usually play at clubs or big festivals and I went to a club in my hometown Ghent (BE) to record this mix on a big sound system in order to immerse myself into a real flow.
Starting out with some really deep electronic music for the first hour in order to create the perfect vibe and then to build onwards to what I consider a timeless vibe.”
