Matt Tolfrey & Lee Curtiss bring heater EP to Desert Hearts

Matt Tolfrey and Lee Curtiss teamed up this New Year for a brand new techno-house EP on Desert Hearts Records. Aptly named, For Your Mind features two tracks and stretches for nearly fifteen minutes, leaving no shortage of the classic Desert Hearts sound that we all know and love. Percussion prevails on the EP opener, Who Said That. The track begins with soft vocals that tamper off and conveys a more techno-house sound. The second track on the EP, For Your Mind, is a bubblier house track and the vocals are reminiscent of those in Who Said That. Both classic yet quirky renditions of a Desert Hearts Release, the EP is a perfect reminder of why we love house music.

Both Curtiss and Tolfrey are heavy hitters when it comes to experience. Curtiss is no stranger to the underground house scene and is known for his ability to blend different eras of music together, creating diversity on each of his tracks. Tolfrey’s success as a DJ led him to be the owner of his own label, Leftroom. Both artists have no trouble enticing us to the dance floor, and as collaboration, this EP will have us head-bopping long after the beat stops.
