Martin Buttrich |‎ Flow Podcast

Martin Buttrich has been releasing electronic music for over a decade on influential labels ranging from Carl Craig’s Planet E to Sven Vath’s Cocoon.

Famously as fluent behind a mixing console as in front of a virtual drum kit. Martin Buttrich’s technical prowess, combined with a fascination for music of every shape, has resulted in outstanding releases on influential labels such as Planet E, Cocoon, Poker Flat and Nervous.

He’s also put his sonic thumbprint on many big-ticket artists, notably receiving a Grammy nomination for a Tori Amos remix in 2003. Such diverse musical horizons are rare. While other prolific artists may have slowly watered down their music, Buttrich’s star has risen in diametric opposition.

His vision has become more and more condensed, more and more crystallised. He’s also an accomplished DJ entertaining audiences at festivals like Time Warp, Creamfields and many others. He has also played many world-famous clubs inclouding Fabric (London), Womb (Tokyo), Cocoon (Frankfurt), Panorama Bar (Berlin) and Amnesia (Ibiza).

He also founded the Desolat label with Loco Dice and has played many of the associated events alongside many of the other artists who have been prevalent on the high flying imprint.

We are honoured to have this extended three-hour set from Martin Buttrich, as this time of year many people will be travelling home for Christmas, and this epic mix is a perfect soundtrack for anyone who has far to travel.
