With releases on Last Night On Earth and Einmusika, Formel looks set for big things in 2018. With a new EP out now on Cid Inc’s Replug Records we caught up with the Dutch duo for the latest edition of What’s In Your Box.

Gorje Hewek & Izhevski – De Erweckens Bruderschaft

There are always one or two tracks by these guys in our open sets. Really atmospheric stuff that takes you on a journey every time you play them.

Rauschhaus – Folded Skies (Einmusika)

Einmusika is one of our favourite labels. That’s why we have two tracks from them in our top 10. The whole EP from Rauschhaus is really cool, but Folded Skies is our pick here.

Modd – Tryusolee (Anjunadeep)

Great tunes for special moments at the dancefloor. This groover builds up with warm atmospheric melodies and nice vocals. The track stays amazing every time you play it. We really like Modd his productions and play a lot of his tracks.

Budakid – On A Empty Page (Lost & Found)

Kevin is going like a mofo at the moment. It explains his last releases on All Day I Dream, Einmusika and his last release at Guy J his imprint Lost & Found. The whole EP is outstanding and Memories is already hitting the charts, but we love the b-side even more. One of those gems which will fit really nicely in your open set. Beautiful melodies, we like 🙂

Denis Horvat – Patchouli (Aeon)

Denis is making dancefloor bombs at the moment, each track is better than the last one. In Patachouli we really love the driven techno beats combined with the freaky synths.

ARBTAT – Planeta (Diynamic)

After his hit Tabu, ARBTAT comes up with a new dancefloorbomb on Solomun his label Diynamic. A peaktime floorfiller. Love it.

Kevin Di Serna – Horizons (Endless)

What is your definition of happiness”? This. Kevin Di Serne delivers a lovely laidback track with the piano chords just in the right place. Nice track to chill with.

Chicola – Childhood (Lost & Found)

An oldie, but Chicola is one of our favourite producers and we like almost every track of this guy. The break starts at 2:06 and after you get dragged into a world of beautiful melodies. One of the most beautiful songs we have ever heard. Thnx Chicola.

Tim Engelhardt – Reality (Fryhide)

This whole EP is outstanding and Tim and Fryhide are bringing out some really cool tunes at the moment. This track stood out for our taste at the moment. Love this track.

Mictrotrauma – 5254 (Einmusika)

We love diversity and this dark breakbeat track from Mictrotrauma is really cool to put in the middle of sets or at the end. Really cool track from start to finish.
