‘Flying Colours’ Is A New Melbourne Based Festival

The Australian event is running on the 12th of March at Reunion Park.

Flying Colours is a collaborative project from Moor Music and The Operatives.

The Operatives are well-known on the Australian scene for their large-scale events such as Let Them Eat Cake, Flow Festival and The DOT. Moor Music are behind popular events including Rinse Aid, DUSK, and In Waves.

Coming together, the two event brands are promising an extravaganza of music that is spread over two stages and will feature a broad range of genres including both DJs and live performances.

Some of the genres that feature on the smorgasbord of sound include nu-jazz, hip hop, neo-soul, jazzy house and broken beat.

Showcasing local talent and artists from the surrounding parts of Australia, the line-up includes Close Counters, First Beige, JK Group, Luen, Horatio Luna, Thando, Kalacoma, Niine, Fly Boy Jack, Beatnik Collective, DJ Smilez, DJ Nay Nay, Emma Volard, Hollie Joyce, Coookie, Proto Moro, Ajak Kwai (DJ Set), Zepherin Saint, Kgomotso, Amber Ferraro, and Moor Music DJs.

The organisers want the event to be one of music discovery and where attendees can hit the dance floor to discover future-tilting dance music, and showcase what Melbourne’s local music scene has to offer, and confirm that it’s still thriving even after the tough months of lockdown.
