dop are well-known for their music on labels ranging from Crosstown Rebels to Life And Death.

French artists dop drop their new track Shishi “შიში” which translates to ‘fear’ in Georgian. They have a strong passion for Georgia and the track is the reunion of dop’s favourite modern artists in Georgia, Tamada and Nini Nutzubidze.

Released on their own label dop Only, the track was originally destined to be on their forthcoming album, but they decided to release it early after they had such big crowd responses when playing it in their live sets.

They describe the tracks as an anthem to brotherhood and it links three generations of singers that are connected by friendship and mutual inspiration.

Georgia is a country with beautiful and deep ancient culture, but also with a very strong youth culture that’s ready to gather and defend their vision of the future. dop feel privileged that they are able to make music that has resonated with this generation.

dop also enlisted the help of Georgian guitarist Lexo Ratiani and French electric bass player David Sultan. Those musicians added the final touches that helped complete Shishi.

Tripmastaz add a remix that turns the original version into a deep and funky rework that’s perfect for DJs. He’s an accomplished producer whose released on labels ranging from Catz N Dogz’s Pets Recordings to Richie Hawtin’s Minus.

Turkish live band Depart who recently did a remix on Mindgame Records also did a rework. They delivered an amazing version with reshaped vocals and a new bassline that would be perfect for the dance floors of places like Berlin’s Bar 25.
