Dok & Martin, Heerhorst, AKKI (DE) & Luca Gaeta feature on new VA ‘Desiderati 4.9’

The four-track EP is out now on UMEK’s record label, 1605.

UMEK’s 1605 drops a new four-track various artist compilation that features tracks by Dok & Martin, Heerhorst, AKKI (DE) and Luca Gaeta.

The release is everything fans have come to expect from 1605 as all of the tracks would fit perfectly into one of UMEK’s DJ sets. Each of the artists who have contributed to this compilation has featured on 1605 in the past in addition to other influential techno record labels.

On a whole, all the tracks centre around a concept of driving percussion and a thumping kick drum layered with powerful lead synths and earth-shaking basslines.

Heerhorst kicks off proceedings with his track “Deliver” which builds tension with ethereal synth pads before the breakdown that introduces the biblical tones of the compelling vocal sample.

AKKI (DE)’s Balthazar is next on the release and it has got a powerful bass hook that twists and morphs with modulation as the track unfolds.

Dok & Martin’s “Want Your Love” is a rave-inspired track with euphoric vocals and old school synth stabs sequenced over fast-paced percussion.

Luca Gaeta’s “Moonslide” finishes the compilation with a hypnotic melody line and rattling percussion that’s fused with a dark atmosphere.
