Cercle DJ Sets Are Now Available On Apple Music

The leading streaming brand for electronic music has made its audio available for iTunes listening.

Cercle is a live stream platform that has streamed DJ sets from some of the world’s biggest DJs, ranging from Adam Beyer and Amelie Lens, to the likes of Lee Burridge and Solomun.

Often streaming from historic locations of cultural significance with a live audience, the streaming brand has become one of the biggest for electronic music with only a hand full of others such as Boiler Room being on a par with it.

Although the Cercle streams are visually striking and very distinctive, it’s still the music of the stream that remains the main focus of the brand. This is why it’s a landmark moment for a selection of those DJ sets to now be available for audio listening via Apple Music.

Apple Music subscribers can listen to classic Cercle sets from the likes of Fatboy Slim, Deborah de Luca, ARTBAT, Adriatique, ZHU, Nina Kraviz, Amelie Lens, Polo & Pan, Giorgia Angiuli, ANNA, Worakls Orchestra, Fakear, Ellen Allien and Monika Kruse.

Cercle’s page on Apple Music will also be updated over time to feature other live performances, including older mixes from the archive and new sessions. There is also a selection of playlists compiled by people described as Cercle experts.

Pol Souchier is head of Communications at Cercle, and in a statement, he said: “We have waited several years for a streaming service to be able to offer our sets legally and fairly, as this is a major problem in the world of electronic music. We are pleased to finally be able to offer them on Apple Music on the special Cercle site and to be able to compensate all rights holders – the labels, the artists, but also the DJs who create these sometimes anthological and timeless sets.
