‘Centrale93’ Is A New Open Air Nightclub In Paris

The 1,000 person venue launched earlier this month in the French capital.

Centrale93 is a new 1,000 capacity open-air venue now open in Paris

The project is a collaboration between ‘Yoyaku’ which is a record store, label and booking agency. They have teamed up with the people behind the Chapelle XIV nightclub, and their joint venture is described as an “ephemeral place of arts and life”.

Located in the Saint-Denis area of the French capital city, the new venue is part of a drive to reinvigorate and area of the city that was previously used by the industrial sector.

Some of the DJs already booked to perform sets at the venue include Ricardo Villalobos, Dyed Soundorom, rRoxymore and Deena Abdelwahed amongst others of equal note.

Benjamin Belaga is the Centrale93 promoter, and in an interview with Resident Advisor, he said: “In March 2020, our biggest event was supposed to take place, featuring our entire Yoyaku roster as well as Ricardo Villalobos,” promoter Benjamin Belaga told RA. “It was one of the first events in Europe to be rescheduled because of the pandemic. We have since then been searching for an outdoor venue to reschedule this party.”

“By chance, this wasteland in Saint-Denis, bordering Paris, was suited to hold musical events. We have the chance to take it over for the upcoming months, and we plan to make the most out of it!
