Berghain Will Reopen This Weekend

Based in Berlin, the German nightclub is an iconic part of underground electronic music culture.

Berghain is one of the world’s most famous nightclubs.

It’s been confirmed that the venue can once again open its indoor space on Saturday the 2nd of October, but only “for vaccinated or recovered persons” that have “proof of vaccination or recovery only with Corona-Warn-App or CovPass-App resp. EU Digital COVID Certificate”.

The club will also be implementing its own track and trace system that comes in the forms of a personal Berghain pass, which can be obtained either online or upon entrance to the venue.

Making up for lost time, Berghain’s opening night features a star-studded line up of DJs including a back-to-back set from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann. Some of the others also hitting the decks include DJ Stingray 313, Héctor Oaks and Electric Indigo amongst others.

Some of the line-ups revealed for the following weeks include DJ sets from Etapp Kyle, Tijana T, FJAAK, Honey Dijon and VTSS.

Although, this is the first time the clubs indoor dancing space has been open, the venues outdoor space has been open since the 10th of July, but only when the weather has been dry.

Berghain had repurposed its indoor space for use as an art gallery during September 2020 to help maintain some income during lockdown, but this is the first time the venue has been properly open for revellers to come and party.

You can find the full listing of all Berghain events here.
