Australia’s Lunar Disco Drop New Release ‘It’s About Time’

Out now, the ‘80s influenced release features a remix by Ali Farahani.

Lunar Disco has previously released music on labels ranging from Katermukke to Kindisch.

Lunar Disco are a duo heavily influenced by ‘80s music and culture, and that shines through in their new release It’s About Time.

The boyfriend and girlfriend duo are based in Australia where they also run Suck My Disco along with a record label of the same name.

Their sound switches between pop-influenced disco and downtempo organic house, with a combination of powerful vocals and charismatic synth lines.

It’s About Time is the first in a series of ten singles that will each include a remix from visionary producers who the guys feel will add to the cosmic vibes of their sound.

Los Angeles based producer Ali Farahani features a rework on this release, and provides both a vocal version and dub. He streamlines the original without losing any of its synth-pop charm, and delivers something that sounds like it could have been used in the soundtrack for the Stranger Things TV show.

The original has a psychedelic tongue-in-cheek feel that pays homage to the larger than life fashion culture of the ‘80s, and the music features arpeggio synths and seductive vocals that combine to create a chic track full of cosmic vibes.
